Last updated: June 28, 2026

1. Overview

Copersil Technologies ("we," "our") operates copersil.ca and provides managed IT services to businesses in the Greater Toronto Area. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose personal information through our website and services. This policy does not address the handling of your clients' data through the managed IT services we perform on your behalf; that is governed by the terms of our service agreements.

2. Information We Collect

a. Information you provide directly. When you contact us via our inquiry form or email, we collect the information you share — such as your name, email address, company name, and any message content.

b. Information collected automatically. Our website may collect standard server and CDN logs (e.g., page views, browser type, referral source) for basic site operation and security. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking pixels.

c. Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from the platforms and services we manage on your behalf, solely to the extent necessary to perform our services.

d. Inquiry form processing. When you submit the inquiry form on our website, the data is processed by Cloudflare-hosted infrastructure and forwarded by email to Copersil. We do not store form submissions on our website; they are delivered directly to our team via email.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide IT assessments
  • Deliver, manage, and support the IT services we provide
  • Communicate about our services, including billing and account updates
  • Improve our website and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who assist us in operating our business (e.g., email hosting, cloud infrastructure), under contractual obligations to protect your data.
  • Your employer or client, for information they are entitled to receive as part of the services we manage on their behalf.
  • Law enforcement or regulatory authorities, when required by law.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by law (including applicable Canadian record-keeping requirements). Contact form submissions sent via email are retained for as long as necessary to respond to and follow up on your inquiry.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses essential cookies for basic functionality. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. We do not participate in advertising networks or use third-party tracking pixels.

7. Your Rights (PIPEDA)

Under Canadian federal and applicable provincial privacy legislation (including PIPEDA and other applicable Canadian privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal obligations)
  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based

To exercise these rights, contact us at info@copersil.ca. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect personal information against loss, theft, unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Cross-Border Transfers

Some of our service providers may be located outside Canada. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by applicable law.

10. Children

Our website and services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will take steps to delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
